Surabhi Exports, we follow certain ethical policies,
these policies are not just on papers but
we implement them on our day to day work.
1. Fair
and reasonable wages to all employees and labour.
In addition we always move towards improving wage
levels and career development on a regular basis.
2. Complete
banned on any injustice or exploitation of any
artisans or craft persons
3. No
discrimination will be made against women and that a
woman doing the same work as a man will be paid the
same wages as a man. But differentials in pay can be
done based on differing skills.
4. To
look after wherever possible the social needs of
craftspeople and provide medical, educational and
other social welfare measures for them and their
families.
5. Time
to time training programmes in skill development,
literacy programmes, design input, quality control
etc, for crafts people will be conducted.
6. We
are strongly committed to minimizing the use of
chemical dyes that may be harmful to the environment
and peoples health and all our handmade paper products,
bags and folders, conference kits are
free from Tree and 100% recycled handmade product.
Where dyes are used there will be a minimum bleeding
of the dyes during washing i.e. dyes must be fast.
7. Packaging
to be environmentally friendly with minimum use of
plastics and the avoidance of over packaging.
8. Products
to be made without the use of fulltime or exploiting
child labour.
